Former branch chairman and president, Mr David Clayton, has been awarded a Jubilee Fellowship of the Historical Association in recognition of his many years of service to the H.A., both nationally and at branch level. Mr Clayton has published a number of books, the most recent being a history of the ‘Lost Farms of Brinscall Moors’ which led to a feature on the BBC’s ‘Countryfile’ programme. He was a headteacher in Blackburn for many years, and served on the Historical Association’s Governing Council.
